who poops in whose cupboard?

I have a human. She feeds me, gives me a place to sleep at night, if I so choose, says nice things about me and sometimes sings with me. She is a good human. I am lucky to have met her because you know, often the humans will eat the pigeons or worse, poison a whole colony.

While my human and I lived in an old house, recently, some mice came in to take shelter from the rain. Now, one of the things I find odd about humans is that they really don't like mice. In the case of my human, she woke up every time the mice started running around and began poking around in the cupboards with her flashlight, trying to find them.

Her boyfriend brought over traps. She put them in the cupboards where the mice had left their poo and eventually, a mouse was caught.

We don't live in that house anymore. We live in a house where the mice can't get in. My human says that she feels really bad, when she sees the pictures she took of the mouse that she caught with her boyfriend's trap. She says she wishes it could have been different, that she knows the mouse was just trying to make a living, but that humans are cleaner creatures than mice, who would never poop around in another creature's cupboards. She says the reason she trapped and killed the mouse was because it was a health hazard, not because she didn't like it.

I don't know; it seems to me that humans poop in way more creatures' cupboards than a mouse does. Maybe it's you, human, that needs to be trapped, killed and blocked out of the larger house: Earth? You've been good to me and all, but the great flood of Noah's arc is not something pigeon wants to re-experience.
